listening

take a long look at yourself.

alexander in the mirror

yes, you're talking, listening
and simply enjoying all of the sounds
around you.

months ago i dreamed of alexander identifying the noise of a bird from a distance. that is too much to expect, i know.

it happened.

on our walks he listens for birds, among the noise of the stroller on the bumpy sidewalks he hears them, points to his ear, then signs bird.

i stop in disbelief waiting for him to locate the birds.

he does it.

he points in the direction of a flock of birds high in a tree. what more can i ask for?

Isn't it just amazing!?! I love it when Aiden shows he's hearing the smallest of things I typically used to take for granted! He has reintroduced me to so many sounds!
Love the new blog pic too!
